I will check them out, I would love to buy used but the wife gave me a gift card to the local tackle place.

You don't need anything special to fish chatterbaits. I use a Lew's Speed Spool 6.4:1 and it works great.

I'll throw it out there just because, why don't you get yourself a Quantum EXO.  Can find them for around $150, or if you like the TourMg100 which can be had if you look for right about $210 where both the EXO 100 retails at $249 and the TourMg at $289.  Both solid reels and very light.  I have both.  If you get the TourMg, go with the 7.1, same IPT as the 6:6.1 EXO 100.

Ebay.  I wouldn't do retail on eiher one.  You can find them much cheaper there right now if you look.  Those prices were the "buy now".

You could probably find an OG Daiwa Zillion pretty easily for this price.

I just screwed up, spent way more money then I wanted to and came home with a Patriarch XT 30x spinning reel, now I just need to find a rod for it lol.

I ended up getting a revo beast for 175 at the shop. Feels good on the rod.  Going to try and hit up a farm pond near me soon

Buy the reel that feels best in your hand. Any of the major makers build a quality reel and offer a good warranty. I personallly like Lews reels.
