Taylor0208 Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I got 12 rods I am planning on relining and not sure what I need to try and use. I mostly use mono and braid but looking into some fluorocarbon.. I want to line each rod for specific lures so what would yall suggest for different lures, worms, finese, topwater, frog, crankbait, etc. Thanks for any help. Quote

Super User gulfcaptain Posted December 28, 2015 Super User Posted December 28, 2015 I fish braid on all of them. Mostly 30lb, but some have 20 and 40. I adjust each for what I'm doing with leaders of either FC or Mono. So it costs me in braid, but I only have to buy one spool of each 6-17lb in FC and a couple spools of 10, 12, 20lb mono. Easier to replace 6ft of mono or FC then to respool 75-100yrds and a lot less in the pocket book. Just my opinion though. Quote

Worms- 15# mono or copolymer finesse- 8# fluoro or 15# braid with a fluoro leader. frog -50 or 65# braid top water- 30# braid crank-10# mono Quote
