zallen4 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 So earlier this season broke the 3rd guide down from the top of my drop shot rod, I have no experience with tying new rod guides on and don't know what materials I'll need or if they sell a kit. Does anyone know any good how to videos or anything that can help me out? Quote

Super User MickD Posted December 18, 2015 Super User Posted December 18, 2015 Check out Mudhole.com and go to their instructional videos. I think Getbitoutdoors.com has some too. 1 Quote

papajoe222 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 The first guide replacement I did, I used a thread bobbin like the one pictured. I ended up stripping all the guides off that rod and re-wrapping them. It was easier than I thought and I have since gotten into rod building, I enjoy it so much. The videos on the sites mentioned were a big help. Be sure to check them out. 1 Quote
