Here is a nice one from Saturday while at Smithville Lake.  She liked the ol Sniper jig with a Rage Baby Craw.

Water temp was 46 degrees and the air was about the same.  Cold and cloudy day.  We ended up with 4 fish.

Nice catch... and on a jig.  Imagine that.  Congrats.

I'd like to congratulate you just for catching a bass at Smithville. I've fished it twice and never had anything I'm 100% certain was a bite. I've heard it's gotten much better since I fished it last though. Great looking fish!

Nice fish, Mike!

Is that the Little Platte ramp behind you?  All of the really good fish I have caught at Smithville the last couple of years, have been on the main lake, in coves off of the main lake like the one you are in, or the lower end of Camp Branch which I consider to be main lake as well.

You should go back out there, Blue, as you're a much better stick than I.  You may not catch many fish but there's a decent chance of catching a 4 - 6 lb'er, and a few that are larger.  There are some healthy fish in Smithville.  Of course with the lakes down south and west of the city where you seem to do really well, your odds may be better there than to drive all the way to Smithville.
