Hogsticker Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Hey guys. Is the 4" slim Senko really any smaller than a standard 4" Senko? As for the 5" thin Senko, how does it compare in size to say a Jackall Flick Shake worm? Is it any bulkier or heavier? Thx Quote
EricTheAngler Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Where can you pick up the flick shake worms, are they instore at sport retailers? Quote
ec1 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 From my experience, the differences are very minute. Would a fish have bit the slim and not a 4" regular? I hope not... On the other hand, if one of those models were on sale, I'd definitely jump on it. I don't have any experience with the 5" thin senko though. Good luck Quote

Think I'll pick up a pack of the thin Senkos on my next order. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted December 10, 2015 Super User Posted December 10, 2015 I have a bag...or had, not sure actually, of the thin Senkos. My reaction...Meh. I didn't really do well with them, although, they were in a color I don't normally fish. I think the thing for me is that they are more limited in colors than the regular versions. Quote
BaitMonkey1984 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Dont mess with perfection. I will fish any worm wacky style so long as it is a 5" GYCB in watermelon creme. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted December 11, 2015 Super User Posted December 11, 2015 They work but do not shimmy as well as the regular senko for me. I do like the slim senko on a flick shake head as a alternative to the Jackall worm. Allen 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted December 11, 2015 Super User Posted December 11, 2015 I have had 2 days this past summer where the fish wouldn't touch a regular 4" Senko but destroyed a 4" slim Senko, go figure. Quote

So does the slim Senko have a little more weight to it than your typical finesse worm of the same length? That's kinda what I'm trying to figure out here. Thx Quote

Will Wetline Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The 6.0 lb. smallmouth in my signature pic ate a wacky rigged 4" Slim Senko, color #297. Quote
fisherrw Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 jackel flick shake is pretty much the same thing as a thin senko. i personally like the thin senko better for price and colors Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 14, 2015 Global Moderator Posted December 14, 2015 I have quite a few bags of the 4" slim senko I bought on sale, they're noticeably thinner than a 4" senko. Quote
Tim Kelly Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 A friend of mine absolutely loves the 5" slim senkos on a texas rig and 1/8 sinker and they're his go to weenie worm. They are heavy and sink, like a normal senko. I fished behind him with a zman 4" finesse worm and caught similar amounts and that worm is buoyant. Not sure what that tells you, but I know my worm lasted all day while he went through packets of senkos LOL Quote

I'm looking for a little heavier alternative to finesse worms to switch things up time to time. Quote
