Anyone own the Recon medium heavy, and the M1 medium heavy? Which rod has more power? Which rod is faster? I'm assuming the M1 in both categories, however not by much. I have a custom medium light Recon and like it quite it bit. I played with a medium heavy M1 in a local store yesterday, and as with most Phenix blanks I liked the taper and feel. Thinking the 7'2 MH M1 for my next custom, but just wanted to here some feedback on both blanks 1st - Thx

I own the m1 MH and have handled the recon I think I like the m1 feel slightly more but mabey that's only because I've used it.

I just bought a 73h m1 but I have not tried it yet and have not touched the recon before.   When reading forums and sites  I thought they said that the recon was more sensitive but the m1 was almost as sensitive and more durable.

granted I have not tried them yet so take it with a grain of sand.

I also own the M1 and use it as my dedicated spinnerbait/chatterbait rod.

I just love the way it feels in my hand..

Light, strong, sensative and load's great.

I have never used a Recon, but if I was considering another rod the M1 would be hard to pass up.
