Last year was my first year really trying for musky. I bought a couple inlines and a few others, but wanted suggestions on your go to baits. In particular anybody use chatters?

We had two hookups and lost both on bladed jigs last time I went muskie fishing. Buddy of mine that lives on Minnetonka likes the big 1.5-2 ounce ones made for muskies. Seems like he catches a lot of pike with it but that might just be the lake he's fishing.

I know pike love to hit the small bladed jigs, but I don't date throw them for even pike. And I know Minnetonka grow them big. Family member just caught a 44 in musky on Minnetonka.

Any brand specific? Musky lures are still new to me.

I am by no means a musky expert, and I only target them a handful of times per season.  Double 10 inlines have been most productive for me, though I certainly spend the most time chucking them. I have landed some good fish on Grandmas and Jakes also.  When trolling, my success has come on Jakes and Believers.

This one came on a buchertail inline

This came trolling an 8 inch believer

I'm still trying new things.  That's your best bet. Keep experimenting, always.

Other than a variety of bucktails, I'd say a 6in. or 8in. Jake or Grandma. A TopRaider and a Believer.  For trolling, I like a Kwikfish and spoons.

I don't normally target muskie.  The ones I catch are by accident while bass fishing.  They do seem to hit Rat-l-traps a lot.

Wendel's Musky Tackle offers a great selection of lures and musky gear. I only fish for large northerns (>15 lbs.), so I can't say how effective my lure selection would be on muskies. That being said, I dearly love the Wendel's Musky Harrassers for in-line spinners and the Believer in 8" size for plugs.

I have gone overboard on musky gear so far this year. My believers came in and look great! I picked up a  squirrley tail jake, and found a local guy who makes inlines. But by far the best (imo) and the one im looking forward to is a baby beaver. @ 3.5oz this bait looks amazing.  The best way for me to find deals is on facebook groups. There are a couple great ones that have a couple thousands members with good deals daily.

I've only caught one muskie in my life so far. This one on an Xrap, size 8 I believe, so smaller. When I do dive myself into the world of muskie fishing (I see it as only a matter of time), I could see myself buying a lot of stuff by Savage Gear, I like the look of a lot of their stuff, and like the products of theirs that I do own.
