I just ordered 2 fiberglass rods from Tigerodz (who uses Batson blanks) and my next graphite rods will definitely be on Eternity blanks.

I purchased a couple used Batson blank custom rods.  The RainShadow is one of my favorites although not built on as high a quality blank.  Congratulations on the new rod.  Am looking forward to the upcoming review.

Yes, but I fish weightless soft plastics on spinning tackle and light line.

I'm all about high end rods, are u saying the Batson blanks are better than the Rainshadow blanks? And can I only get the Batson if I have someone build it? Thanks

Batson is the parent company. Rainshadow is one of their lines. I don't know if they still make the rainshadows as they recently introduced a few new lines of blanks. Anyone can purchase their blanks and build it themselves or have someone built it for them.

Batson is the parent company. Rainshadow is one of their lines. I don't know if they still make the rainshadows as they recently introduced a few new lines of blanks. Anyone can purchase their blanks and build it themselves or have someone built it for them.

 

Yes Batson is the parent company. Batson offers Rainshadow and North Fork Composite blanks. I have 24 builds on Rainshadow blanks. Most are on the RX7 which is no longer offered (but there are some builders who can still get a couple models of the blanks). I have 4 built on the Revelation blank, 3 built on the Immortal blank, and one built on the Eternity2 blank. Also have some glass rods. You do not have to have one custom built to get a Rainshadow blank. Anthony Gagliardi has a new line of rods out called Level Rods which are built on Rainshadow Revelation blanks. Keith Combs also has a signature line of rods made by Power Tackle that are also built on Rainshadow blanks, I believe they are Revelation blanks as well (not 100% sure though). I have used almost every brand imaginable out there and if you are looking in the $200 range you can not beat a Rainshadow blank with anything you get off the shelf IMO.

Thank you for asking. Here is how our company is structured:

Batson: Parent Company ( Not a brand name )

        RainShadow: Our own Rod Blank line. 

              Eternity2: Model in the RainShadow Lineup

As in terms of wanting something similar or build your own, this is what we are all about. If you go to our website, you can see physical "blueprints" on all of our models. If we don't have them, just ask we can send them to you. This will give you a baseline to use. You can switch out any product if you want something different. 

Then you go to any one of our retailers of our product. They can direct you on not only a custom rod builder, but sell you the parts. Then contact the rod builder to make it for you. 

 

If you don't want to hassle with that part as much, you can contact some of the rod builders on here or even sponsors of the board to build you a complete rod. Just tell them the RainShadow blank, reel seat, guides, and grips they fill in all the extras!

You are right, Batson is the parent company. Just people for some reason call them Batson Blanks..

To answer your question about Keith and Anthony, they are a variety of different rods for different applications. We can't tell you exactly since it is their IP, but both rods companies have excellent rods for the price, although drastically different because they fish completely different.
