tholmes Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 7-1/2" or 10" ribbon-tails, any brand will do. Colors: Tequila sunrise, red shad, junebug, black, watermelon, green pumpkin. Tom Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 9, 2015 Super User Posted December 9, 2015 Texas rig to me means a sliding bullet weight weedless hooked soft plastics. My standard T-rig uses a straight round bend worm hook like Owner #5103/ 3/0-5/0 depending on worm body diameter/length, fished on Jig/worm bait casting with 10- 16 lb FC line, no braid. Favorite worms; Uptom's Customs, Berkley Power (night) for T-rigs. I like to fish big worm T-rigged; Uptom's 9" & 13" straight or Dragon tails, in Black grape/ blue neon, purple thunder and Aaron's tragic. Black 7 1/2" and 10" Power worms, ribbon tails at night. Super User Darren. Posted December 9, 2015 Super User Posted December 9, 2015 I like Zoom Trick and Finesse worms best for TX rigging. I've caught some beasts in the 5-6 pound range with TX rigged senko style baits, tho. Find GP/Chartr. tail, black, junebug as most effective of the last I've fished TX. I use wacky so much more. Super User everythingthatswims Posted December 9, 2015 Super User Posted December 9, 2015 I have 3 that cover most situations for me....5" Roboworm with a very light weight on light line for when it's tough, a trick worm 75% of the time, and when I'm hunting a big girl I'll throw a magnum 'ol monster. Super User Choporoz Posted December 9, 2015 Super User Posted December 9, 2015 I'm a bit surprised at all the trick worms mentioned. I'll have to revisit them on a trig. I never had much luck/confidence there. I pretty much only rig them weightless anymore. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted December 9, 2015 Super User Posted December 9, 2015 I use Manns the most but any other worm will work just as well. Another worm that I have the utmost confidence in is the Mister Twister Phenom chartreuse / black core . 1 Quote
RB 77 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 6" straight tail in purple, green or black usually. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 10, 2015 Super User Posted December 10, 2015 Large worms get t-rigged, "trick" worms are fished on jigheads in my game plan. I only keep a few colors these days; watermelon, junebug, red shad and PB&J. If I can't get it on with those colors it's time to execute plan B. Quote
tander Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Zoom U Tail in Junebug, hard to beat around these parts. Quote
MidwestBassin Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 During the spring and summer months and into the early fall I throw Powerbait 10'' Plum when the sun is out. During the early morning or evening, or cloudy day I like to throw Junebug. Gotta let the fish tell you what they want of course, but that's where I start. Plum is my favorite though Quote
RHuff Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I've caught a ton of Florida Largemouth on a Culprit Black Shad ribbon tail Texas rigged. Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted December 13, 2015 Super User Posted December 13, 2015 Rage Cut R and Anaconda,Just really started using them late in the year and caught alot of fish on them.Gonna use them more this coming year. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted December 13, 2015 Global Moderator Posted December 13, 2015 Rage Cut R and Anaconda,Just really started using them late in the year and caught alot of fish on them.Gonna use them more this coming year. Love those Cut R's..The ability to make the tail rise or fall depending on how you rig it...If you haven't already just play with em, you'll see what I mean. Mike Quote
