68camaro Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 No, but I just ordered Green Pumpkin and Hot Tamale. Never used them before but reviews seem pretty good. Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 7, 2015 Super User Posted December 7, 2015 Since you are at it I do have to mention you didn't purchase Sprayed Grass. Quote

Put them on a 4/0 EWG or straight shank with a 1/4-3/8 ounce bullet weight and flip them into any likely fish holding areas. Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted December 7, 2015 Super User Posted December 7, 2015 I ordered main vein and infection sweet beaver colors anyone have any experience in these colors or suggestions? I suggest you cut them all in half lengthwise. Then glue the Main Vein halves to the Infection halves & the Infection halves to the Main Vein halves. If all goes well you'll end up with a big bag of Sweet Infected Beaver Veins . . . That's gotta work . . . . . A-Jay 5 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted December 7, 2015 Super User Posted December 7, 2015 Never gained a lot of confidence in these. And since I started throwing Rage Structure Bugs, I haven't taken these out again. I get they're not the same shape or action, but I can't imagine they're different enough that a Bug won't get it done and I need to throw the RI. Except maybe punching, but for that, I've been using Rage Craws, Chiggers and Pit Boss. Anyone use both Structure Bug and Sweet Beavers? 1 Quote

Since the beaver is more compact with a fatter profile and a little less wiggle in the tail, I use those strictly for punching.. I choose the bugs first when a smaller profile with a lot of wiggle is needed in heavy but scattered junk. In more opened areas of vegetation, reeds, pads etc I throw the Rage Craw. Mike Quote

What I can tell you from a design perspective, yes they seem similar but different applications really. Yea sure you can flip both of them but what makes a Beaver good is that it is a good glide bait (minimal action) but gets bit. The structure bug has much more action making it good for applications that the beaver can't fulfill and vice versa Brian Quote
clh121787 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I buy pitboss and then whatever else is on discount.I pick the pretty colors for me, the fish could care less. Quote
jgordon Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 My favorite thing about this company are the names of the baits. I have tried the hemotoba and had good luck with it in clear and muddy water. They seem to last for a a good amount of fish as well. Quote

I'm with you, I use the Bug for alot of action, and the Pitboss if I want to tone it down. I am going to try the Berkley Chigger Craw for that toned down action though, and see how that works. Quote
