Late fall is usually jerkbait time. Too many leaves on the bottom in most of our lakes right now to fish many bottom contact baits.

In New England it is hard to beat a blade bait once the water drops below 50. Jigs worked ever so slowly work as well. Drop shots, jerkbaits, crankbaits and swim jigs will work as well. The last week of October and the entire month of November blade baits were far out producing all other baits.

Plastic worm is always the number one for me but for some reason I catch a lot of late fall bass on a Bomber Model A .

For many years its always been a jerkbait, with a jig and pig mixed in there,...bomber long a in either gold or silver flash, til the waters temps start dropping hard. Then a rapala original floater till ice in.
