Best And Fastest Electric Fillet Knife

in your opion who has the fastest and best electic fillet knife

 

 

currently i have a rapala all black with the cord and its good just on the slow end compared to a mister twister but i burnt up 4 mister twisters over the years

 

 

i use it to clean white bass by the cooler full.

My vote goes to mister twister. I've burned up 2 so far cleaning crappie and whites. I've been using a good filet knife now and I feel it's just as fast. And requires less effort.

Me with a 10" Forshner Fillet Knife I've had for the last 10+ years and 15yrs cutting fish on the S. Cal sportfishing boats.  When your rip through 200-300 different kinds of fish a trip, you get pretty darn quick with a knife, no batteries or cords needed.

I've never heard anybody complain about the electric Rapala knives, seem to be pretty good tools.

This. Except I use a shorter version for tighter cuts. To me, best and electric knife are mutually exclusive terms. Trust me, buy a quality fillet knife (Forschner Fibrox) and learn how to cut with it properly and how to hone the blade and you will never look back. I know you asked about electric but I thought I would chip in my 2 cents. Good luck with what ever knife you purchase, electric or otherwise.

I vote get good with a regular filet knife. I tried electric and they were good but a lot of trouble. No power (busted breaker-public area- where is the fuse box type deal- side not I dug an electric filet knife out of the trash can because of it lol) I would always get shocked- I'm ocd and constantly rinse fish. I also got fed up with the cord. Learned how to sharpen knives and gave up that headache. I'm not fast by any means but the electric filet knife didn't improve much either. I also get more meat with fixed blade.

I have a cordless Rapala filet knife.   Wouldn't know about using it for fish - never have.  I have 3 or 4 summer cook outs every year where I cook a whole pork loin in my electric smoker.  I much prefer using the electric knife to a regular knife for slicing up the pork loin.  It just goes faster and pals who haven't seen that toy before think that it is cool.

Used them all prefer a nice flexible high quality blade the original rapala knife does the trick

I   cut through the rib cage when filleting fish . On small "bass" a traditional knife slices through the ribs easily. When a bass reaches about fifteen inches , I cant cut through those rib cages , so then I use a Mister Twister electric fillet knife , if there is a plug in . I also have a knife that clips on a 12 volt  battery that I have used a few times and it works well . Cant think of the make right now , but its orange .

I have a complaint about the AC/DC Rapala. I got one for a gift and waited a long time to use it. It only worked once. And wouldn't work with either power source again. No receipt.

 

I got a Mr Twister 120VAC with the curved blades and love it. Curved blades help allow you to work on a flat surface with smaller fish, like crappie.

Hijacking the post for a moment - concerning the electric fillet knife that doesn't work - and no receipt - try this.    Send it back to them.   Enclose a polite, but curt note about their product and your issues with it.    See what happens.  I think it would be worth the shipping to find out.  Back to the subject now. . . .
