bassheel Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Hey can someone recommend a rod for horny toads that is less than 7'. I can find many over 7 but Im a bank only fisherman. I use 50lb braid with an E7 reel. Dont need a broomstick for this application because of light cover. Quote
WPCfishing Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 How much do you want to spend? You don't need a super high end rod for toads or frogs. I like the Abu Garcia IKE rods. $150.00 Based on what your saying a good quality MH 6'8"-10" rod will do fine. Quote

Dont know if you fish toads but I wanted something with a soft tip so to speak. May just stick with my crucial line in the lengths you suggested. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted December 2, 2015 Super User Posted December 2, 2015 Look at a Falcon Bucco 6'6"MH. It will have plenty of power for what you are wanting to do. $99 regular guides, $129 micro. Quote

I'm really big on the Gamble Cane Toad. I use an IKE 74-6. Excellent rod. I can put a toad or frog anywhere I want. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted December 3, 2015 Super User Posted December 3, 2015 I use the Dobyns Savy 734 for toads. Very addordable especially when on sale. I bought mine locally for $120. Quote
