Add another side making a square and it will contain 360 degrees. (keep that in mind) An octagon contains 1080 degrees. So, you can see that as you increase the number of sides, the degrees increase exponentially. Add enough sides, and the geometric figure begins to resemble a circle but contain many more degrees that a square. Eventually with enough sides the geometric figure will contain tens of thousands of degrees, and be barely if at all distinguishable from a circle. The closer it gets to a circle, the more degrees it will contain.. Yet, when you transform it into a circle it will contain 360 degrees. Does this mean a square is a circle?
