Just put in my order, didn't need many lures but did get a concept "a" reel, 600yd spool of yo zuri 12lb hybrid, and some mustad kvd treble hooks to upgrade some cranks with. Might go back and get a new spinerbait rod, I've been looking at the Halo Twilite Series one that is already on sale. Any thoughts on them?

I've had my eye on that rod for some time but I'm just not fishing enough these days to add another rod to the arsenal. Regardless I'd love to hear your feedback on it once you get it -- perhaps I'd be motivated to sell an existing rod or two to make room in the stable!

I'll let you know how I like it, I know I'll love it love all my kistlers. I have a 7'6" heavy helium 3 and it's an awesome jig rod.

Finally was able to submit my order. Only 72 items. Took so long some items ran out of stock by time I completed my order. I'll just claim some of the stuff was for my wife. That should be a good excuse for buying so much and wasting a day.

I don't do black Friday but was kicking around at a thrift store in town and found two new Pflueger President 6935 spinning reels for $26.40 each and an Abu Black max still in the clam pack for $18.60.   Not exactly a Stella or Zillion but my god-son will be happy.  What do you do :Idontknow:

A couple hours later and $500 later I have 1 of the 3 orders done. Now I still need my plastics and jigs.

Im happy now but once I see the bank account it might hurt... Then my packages of goodies will get here and I'll feel awesome again!

I went cheap at TW and only sent $150, but got 2 rods from Cabelas, and $300 from fishingskirts.com

Finally broke down and picked up the Dobyns HP 742c. Figured while I was already online I might as well spend another couple hundred on tackle since 20% off doesn't come around all of the time.

Just before this week I had enough BP Rewards to get the Johnny Morris Carbonlite baitcasting reel. I seen the flyer from Cabelas on the Quantum EXO baitcasting reel and bought 2 on the internet. For some reason I thought I needed more reels.

Also bought jigs on the Seibert promo. I'm addicted.

Lol, yep... couldn't resist and sounds like neither could you! I figured while I was "there" I'd also pick up some glide baits for me and presents for others. I hadn't been planning on going out fishing for at least a couple more weeks, but I may have to squeeze in an afternoon just to try out the new rod.

I didn't buy a single lure but picked up two pairs of tacklemaking pliers. Started going through my tackle for a winter cull and there is so much it is just crazy.

I am going to buy some of those bobber stops for $4.

My minor Black Friday adventure, so far:

-first stop, Siebert Outdoors: A dredge dock rocker jig pack and a bunch of Mike's expertly-painted heads - swim, grass, brush, and dock rockers for some winter project jig tying experiments...

-Over to TW: Had a cart ready friday morning, spent 2 1/2 hours either trying to get the site to load at all, or waiting for the sale prices to register. Some plastics, split rings, skirt material...and a rod for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits/bladed jigs from a company that cannot be mentioned...

-Then to the St. Croix Bargain room: no specific BF sale, but hey, as long as I'm up, how about a Rage, still available at 40% off?

-Tomorrow Morning: last day of the sale at some sites I get email updates for...we'll see if somebody has a last-minute discount on something else I want. I still need another reel....

Made out real well at TW. Went 17/18 on my ongoing list I keep for stuff I want or need to replace/duplicates. Only thing I couldn't pull off is a Bandit 200 in citrus chrome. I have all winter to look for it. There is no way I can buy for less when TW has a sale.

Well, I've spent a grand total of $0.00 on fishing tackle this holiday season so far. I have no plans to spend any more.
