Any favorites, suggestions or experience with rods casting 1/8 oz  and up? Under $200. I want to put together a nice combo.I already have a Lew's BB1 pro for the reel.

I have a shimano Compere casting rod  6'6'' med light rated for 1/8 ounce lures. I  have so many fish get off using  that rod that I rarely use  it .

Yes to all of the above. Would like to have it when downsizing my baits seems like a good idea

A very good universal rod for casting lures of various types from 1/8 to 3/4 oz is G.Loomis PR845C GL2 7' popping rod, it's not typical bass rod. This rod is designed to cast live bait and popping floats for Bone fish and works very good for smaller crank baits, top water and spoons.
