Brnnoser6983 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Hello, I'm coming down next April for a family vacation, but I plan to take 2 days for myself. I found a saltwater charter I plan to use however I'm looking for anyone that may know if a reputable Toho guide. I plan on brining down my rods and tackle for the fresh water trip, just want a knowledgeable person of the area that wants to get out for the day. I'm going to catch a southern hog that I hear about. Anyone know of someone? Quote
68camaro Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Yes, I was just there, had two guides on two different days, the first was Capt, Kit Grumbly, 407-xxx-xxxx, the second was Capt. Randy with a Nitro Boat, I think I found him thru Capt Justin. Call Justin to try to get capt. Randy or go with Justin, 321-xxx-xxxx. I'll PM you their phone numbers direct. Your going at a good time, they sprayed the weeds so you can get back to the real big hawgs earlier. Quote
Brnnoser6983 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 What about boat rentals. I seen toho marina but didn't see that they rent boats. Quote
gar-tracker Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Kip Grunlo Bassing on lineOne of the best. Quote
68camaro Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I've rented boats on coasts in Fl but never on Lakes, Toho is huge lake and Okeecobie is huge and about 2hrs away from Orlando. I didn't see boat rentals on north end of Toho but I wasn't looking either. I bet for cost of boat rental you can probably get close to cost of guide. Guide will have all the gear, bait, best locations and local knowledge. Quote
Brnnoser6983 Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Thanks for the info guys. Planning on bringing all of my own gear but definitely going artificial bait. So I will have to stay looking around. I added a couple days to my trip so I need to find something to fill the days. Quote

Brnnoser6983 Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 Oh I well. I'm going in April if all plans out correctly. I don't know what I'm more excited about, my first salt water trip. Or to check off a lake Toho trip off my bucket list. Quote
