wisconsin heat Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Hey guys, lets get a thread going for any good black friday deals you come across. It looks like Cabela's is having Quantum Exo reels for $99. That's very tempting if you happen to need a new reel, or even if you don't need a new reel! 1 Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 If you are a Quantum guy that is a great deal, unfortunately I do not fish Quantum. bfads.net has the Black Friday ads for BPS, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Dicks, and Academy Sports. http://www.bfads.net/ Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 Flick Shakes for 2 bucks and several other Jackall baits heavily discounted.... http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/sale.html?p=3 Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted November 21, 2015 Super User Posted November 21, 2015 TW black Friday sale start on the 27th. 20% off Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted November 21, 2015 Super User Posted November 21, 2015 Found out BPS is open on Thanksgiving. This is very disappointing to me. Thanksgiving, being purely an American holiday shouldn't be prey to American corporate desires. 2 Quote
Kevinator1 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Hey guys......sorry to burst some of your bubbles but i called my local Cabelas and they said they didn't have any of those Quantum EXO reels in stock.....when i asked if they would be receiving any for the sale, they didn't know....so I talked to someone at Cabelas headquarters and they said that it was only if it is in stock. They didn't believe they were going to be receiving more for the sale.....so unless your store has a large inventory it doesn't look like there are going to be very many out there. And apparently they are discontinuing this model that is why what is left will be on sale. Looks like they are just trying to get people in the door. Kind of a disappointment that they can't back up their advertising. Plus they said you couldn't order it online either. 2 Quote

I worked at the one in KC for 5 years and it seemed like every year we were supposed to have some great sale on a discontinued rod or reel but we'd have only a handful of them and didn't allow rain checks so we'd have to deal with all the ticked off customers who didn't get what they came for, it was lots of fun. 3 Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted November 23, 2015 Super User Posted November 23, 2015 TW black Friday sale start on the 27th. 20% off Hey, what is usually excluded from the Black Friday sale? Just curious... Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted November 23, 2015 Super User Posted November 23, 2015 Hey, what is usually excluded from the Black Friday sale? Just curious... if i remember right, it's usually Megabass, shimano, Gloomis and a few others. If you call in your order though I believe you can get the product discounted via a phone call. I found last years list: Daiwa, Eastaboga Tackle , G. Loomis, Jackall, Koppers, Lucky Craft, Reaction Innovations, Roman Made, Shimano, Simms, TroKar, TW Gift Cards, Under Armour, Wright & McGill and Zip Baits 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 23, 2015 Super User Posted November 23, 2015 About the only thing that would not be discounted is Megabass products from my understanding even if you call in. Some products that appear on the exclusion list will eventually be discounted once they process your order though it may not be reflected in your cart prior to checkout. Quote

Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 23, 2015 Super User Posted November 23, 2015 I would be shocked if they would discount online, in person, or over the phone. Doing so as an authorized dealer puts their license with MB in jeopardy. I have spoken to a few dealers like (The Hook Up Tackle) and the owner informed they could NOT discount any such products as of last winter. Quote
68camaro Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I just bought a Megabass Orochi online with 20% off, they have at least one other that shows 20% off on website. 1 Quote

If you are referring to "rep samples" or "dealer demos" then yes they can be discounted but not for "new" rods, reels, or products sold by US vendors from my understanding. Quote
68camaro Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 This place has them on sale also: http://samuraitackle.com/fishing/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=73_706_710_1309 Quote

Could be, right after I bought mine they show as sold out, they are listed as new though, to me it doesn't matter anyway. It still had tags on and not one scratch or mark. Quote
Basseditor Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Monster Fishing Tackle already has their 20% off sale on now (and their prices are pretty good to begin with, so another 20% is a good deal on many items). Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 24, 2015 Super User Posted November 24, 2015 This place has them on sale also: http://samuraitackle.com/fishing/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=73_706_710_1309 They are based out of Japan. Shipping charges, customs fees, and lack of warranty support would negate any discounted price. The price reduction of MB items is more of a restriction for US vendors. Quote
MidwestF1sh Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I just got an email from tackledirect about the exos being 50% off there. A lot of small local company's are doing some big discounts around me. 1 Quote
