The Young Gun Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I LOVE split shot rigs, I have a 3/4 ft fluro leader tied to braid and I use a split shot and a hook a lot and love fishing that rig. But the normal round style split shot always gets snagged or pulls weeds, do they make a pencil or more streamline weight that can be crimped on or off? I don't want a egg sinker style because I tend to switch weights a lot! Thanks for the help! Quote
Solution Dypsis Posted November 20, 2015 Solution Posted November 20, 2015 I use Mojo brand weights for my split shot/Mojo rigs. Matt 2 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 Water Gremlin use to make a split shot shaped like a bullet weight , havent seen them for awhile . Just looked Tackle warehouse has them . Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 Mojo weights work very well for the split shot presentation. Quote

Super User WIGuide Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 Water Gremlin makes small bullet style crimp on split shots. The really little ones I think are actually made to be used for pegging your normal bullet weight. Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Problem I see is that the OP wants a weight that he can easily change. Not sure I would even want to do that seeing how crimping the weight on weakens the line ever so slighlty. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 20, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 20, 2015 Watch the video. It shows a weight you can easily change without crimping and damaging the line. Quote
