imagine29028 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 So Im confused...isnt the point of a Shakeyhead/Nose Hooked DropShot for the worm to float and be buoant? or stand up Doesn't Salt effect bouancy? Why are so many finese worms have Salt in them??? Zoom has their Super Salt...KVD PP have coffee and salt. *scratches head* Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 19, 2015 Super User Posted November 19, 2015 Not everything in nature feeds nose down tail up! I wouldn't spend to much time worrying about it! Quote
monkeyman3dee Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 roboworms have salt. they float quiet nicely. Depends on how much salt right? floaters might have a less salty plastic then ones meant not to float. yet still salty. 1 Quote
tander Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If you want floating baits, try Z Man baits, even then, some of their floating baits don't float when first used, such as the Ned Rig TRD. I try them when I get a new pack and if they don't float, I run hot water over them and stretch them some. They will also start floating when you use them. Quote
Super User Raul Posted November 20, 2015 Super User Posted November 20, 2015 You worry too much, just fish them. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted November 20, 2015 Global Moderator Posted November 20, 2015 Because all finesse plastics sold aren't designed just for a straight stand up presentation. I would say that the vast majority of finesse style baits aren't fished with a Shakey head or drop shot. Most are bought to be T rigged, dragged, hopped, swam or dead sticked. There are plastics that are best suited for a drop shot or shaky head that have no salt, or have infused air pockets.. I rarely use those types of presentations so I can't give you a recommendation, but I'm sure someone will be along to give you a few. Mike 1 Quote
