Prayer to Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Amen.

Here's to you Dwight.  May God's blessings be upon you.

I have a friend who was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer.  He went through surgery, chemo, and radiation, and now has a clean bill of health.  It was not, by any means, a walk in the park.  But, with it in the rear view mirror he says he'd go through it again should there be a recurrence.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to cheer me up. I really appreciate it. I'm just waiting the results from one last test before hearing what my treatment options are. Then it's full steam ahead. Thank you all again.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I just came across this thread. Dwight, you will be in my thoughts, and I wish you a speedy and full  recovery. I always look forward to reading your posts and the information you share. You seem like an even keeled individual. In the years I have been on this site, you treat everyone with respect, and I have never seen you talk down to anyone. You have taught me a lot in how to properly communicate on a public forum and we could use many more Dwight's in this world. Like I mentioned before. I wish you a speedy and full recovery during this challenging time Dwight.
