bigfruits Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I wish I could believe it but the carpet under the hand and under the spider does not look the same. those goliath bird eating spiders get pretty big though. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted November 18, 2015 Super User Posted November 18, 2015 That right there is literally the scariest thing on earth. There's no creature or human alive that I'd rather not run into more than that right there. I have such a deep, paralyzing, crippling fear/hatred for spiders, but that right there? No....just no. Quote
desmobob Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 id love to stomp that thing to hear it squish. I hesitate to step on big wolf spiders that get in the house because hearing/feeling a spider that large squish would gross me out. There is NO WAY I'd stomp a giant spider like that one! (And I'd be a afraid I'd get splattered if I hit it with a big stick.) The only solution for one that size is gunshots, or cleaving it with a very big knife or machete! Tight lines, Bob Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 18, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 18, 2015 That's a fake. You know how I know? Because a member here said on the Bigfoot thread: Lol @ this thread. Sure, we find thousands of different species every year. MOST of which are insects or a similar species (small). I have yet to hear of a land animal (in the United States) that is 9 feet tall and has been "discovered" in the last century. So, according to him, anything bigger than an insect has already been "discovered". Ergo, this is hoax. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 19, 2015 Author Super User Posted November 19, 2015 But Glenn. I found it on the internet. It has to be true. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 19, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 19, 2015 Don't blame the messenger. You saw what the other BR member said. There are no more "big" creatures left to be discovered. So it must be fake. Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted November 19, 2015 Super User Posted November 19, 2015 It's a Goliath Birdeater spider. Quote
Tim S. Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 If spiders got that big where I live, I'd never leave the house without my Colt Combat Commander and Busse Battle Mistress!!! Tight lines, Bob You mean there's a time when you leave the house without your gun? Quote
