Super User Cgolf Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 Today I found a vintage St Croix pool cue at an estate sale. While not a fishing rod this makes for an awesome collectors item and conversation piece in the man cave:) Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 Sweet - perhaps you could slap some guides on it. Might make one heck of a flipping cue , I mean stick . . . A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 Are you sure it's the same St. Croix? Quote
jbw252 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Are you sure it's the same St. Croix? Yes it is. This is from the St Croix website - "Over the years, there were a variety of goods manufactured that were essential to the development and success of the company. Solid and tubular rod blanks were sold to other companies such as Zebco and Waterking. Private brand rods were created for Orvis, L.L. Bean, Cabela's, South Bend, Cortland and many others. Sundry items such as Department of Natural Resources shocking rods and landing nets, pool cues and marine antennas all contributed to the company's longevity." 2 Quote

Super User Cgolf Posted November 14, 2015 Author Super User Posted November 14, 2015 I did a little searching and it looks like they actually had the patent on a two piece pool cue. The attachment point is stout, the screw used is at least twice the diameter of other two piece cues I have owned. Was also impressed that it is dead straight. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 Yup that's the classic font Quote
Super User Darren. Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 Very cool cue. Lifetime warranty on it? Quote
