Super User Raul Posted November 14, 2015 Super User Posted November 14, 2015 I bet a crispy new 2 dollar bill that you´ll get cancer a lot faster by fishing under the sun without proper UV light protection than from handling lead sinkers while you are at it. 2 Quote

If you are doing both at the same time, how do you know where the cancer came from? 1 Quote
WPCfishing Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 Ok so if you see two similar baits on a shelf your interested in buying and one has the cancer disclosure and the other doesn't which bait are you going to buy? Quote
wisconsin heat Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Ok so if you see two similar baits on a shelf your interested in buying and one has the cancer disclosure and the other doesn't which bait are you going to buy? Not something I look at, if we are talking similar lures, they are going to have a relatively equal microscopic effect of cancer causing substances. I guess I'd buy the one with the cancer disclosure because it is likely a newer package. Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted November 16, 2015 Super User Posted November 16, 2015 If you are doing both at the same time, how do you know where the cancer came from? I'll race you. I call "fishing in the sun" haha Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 17, 2015 Super User Posted November 17, 2015 Petty junk removed. Tungsten carbide is not toxic. Neither is lead, unless inhaled or digested. Clearly, some common sense must come into play. 1 Quote
BaitMonkey1984 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Almost all of my lead baits have a similar warning. It states something such as a "a chemical known in the state of California to cause cancer" For better or worse I stopped paying attention to this warning. If I die, I'll die happy. Plus, pretty sure theres more lead I come into contact with the firearms. Quote

Super User bigbill Posted November 24, 2015 Super User Posted November 24, 2015 We throw plastics, fish die from eating them? Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted November 24, 2015 Super User Posted November 24, 2015 How sick is this.. Disclosure on package: image.jpeg Would you throw a bait that has cancer causing chemicals or materials in it? BPA, a chemical used in plastic for food packaging as well as many water bottles, causes cancer. Just don't eat the fishing lure and you'll probably be OK. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted November 24, 2015 Super User Posted November 24, 2015 As soon as I was on the testosterone rub I had prostate cancer. Quote
