Looking to get a few good bass books to start reading now that the days are getting shorter. Ive done a search and came up with a few, but wanted some opinions. What are a few bass fishing books that you guys feel are insightful and worth reading? I already have Bill Murphys "In Pursuit of Giant Bass", and Doug Hannons "Big Bass Magic" en route to my house. What are some other good ones?

Check out this thread -- lots of really good recommendations:

Personally, I really like the in-fisherman Largemouth and Smallmouth "handbook of strategies" books, which you can probably get super-cheap used on ebay or amazon. Also, if you can find a copy, "Knowing Bass" by Keith Jones is a canonical source for basic scientific information about bass physiology and behavior as it relates to angling.

I also have the two you mentioned, and both came very highly recommended, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

I have Bill Murphy's book but some of his tactics I was doing already. Still a good read.

I don't like Roland Martin because I heard he is mean to his fans

You mean, you really don't know, but you dislike him anyway? What if someone told you that

Glenn beats up BR members as long as no one is watching?

The In-Fisherman series on largemouths is pretty good reading.  Some of the material is repeated in the books, but overall, I think they're a great read.

But then again, I heard the Lindner boys are mean to Glenn's fans, or something like that....   ;)

Tight lines,

Bob

Written by Larry Larsen

This book is pure gold with the knowledge of a man who has caught well over 100 Largemouth Bass over 10 pounds and several Peacock Bass over 20 pounds.
