Denali Or Cashion?

Hi, I would like to know your opinion regarding these two brands, which you believe is best ?

I think Cashion offers a nice rod. I owned the 6'9 mh for about 2yrs. Used it for everything.

Haven't owned either, but have done repairs on both. From a build standpoint, my vote is for Denali. I've never seen a more poorly executed build than Cashion.

Most unfortunately, experience is not a prerequisite for offering opinions that MUST be derived from experience in order to have any value.

I don't mind my denali kovert (not worth the $$$ IMO) but as for the J2s I can't stand them.

I remember you saying this once before also. I admittedly never paid too close of attention to the build quality. The guides were straight and it balanced well. I fon't recall anything other than that. 3/4 Denalis that I had were extremely tip heavy. I sold them all off as quickly as I could.

The Cashion could shed some weight if they were more careful with the epoxy application. It has 3x or more than is needed. It looks terrible and adds unnecessary weight.

I've never owner a cashion but I've had 2 denalis that were ok (kovert,j2) maybe a little heavier feeling rod.

I guess I am more interested in how it came down to these two brands? Most of the guys that I know that use Denali are sponsored by them. For some reason when these sponsored individuals go to sell the rods they struggle to move them. Have only handled a few Cashion rods and they seem ok but didn't seem like they would be something I would enjoy.

Since you only mentioned those 2, I gave my input on the one I'm most familiar with. Neither one would be in my rotation. Avid or Avid X would be my choice in the mid-level arena.

Not necessarily, if somebody with experience tells me something, I have secondhand experience with the product. Therefore I'm able to express my opinion based on what I've heard. It's the same as someone telling you the problems they've had with a certain product, and you blacklisting it because of what they've told you. It happens all the time. So, if I've had people tell me that Denali/ Cashion is a bad rod, I will post my opinion on their behalf.

At the very least, I'd respect and value your 'opinion' a LOT more if you would specify how you came by it.  But, maybe I'm just an old fart who doesn't understand how this newfangled interweb forum stuff works.

"From what I've heard"...Cashion rods have nice blanks, but the craftsmanship isn't too impressive. As for Denali, I've heard the same as others have posted. They're pretty good rods, but don't balance as well as say a St. Croix or G. Loomis.

Also, Choporoz, when someone asks for an opinion, I will give an opinion, not an "uncontroverted fact." If the OP wants to know which rod to use, and I wouldn't recommend either, I'm not going to recommend either.

My buddy is on Cashion Rods pro staff.  Their stuff did not turn my screws.  No comment on the other brand.

Between the two, Cashion.

Cashion crank bait rods are popular out west, made a few casts with a friends rod and it was good compared to my vintage Lamiglas, Loomis and Fenwick cranking rods I use.

I have fished with both, know a lot of guys on both pro staffs. I like Denali and have a bunch of koverts. I like the way they fish, and they are very durable. I have seen guys use other "lighter" more expensive brands band them on side of the boat landing fish and snap em in half on the next couple cast.

..... The only really good comment from a pro staffer. I do like the denali kovert for how durable it is and its decently sensitive but I just can't get used to how heavy and unbalanced it is for the price.
