For me it depends on the water temp.................here in the N.E. water temps < 50 + dirty water = stay home. The bite in dirty cold water SUCKS.....especially in lakes that are usually clear. But if I just had to go...............the guys above me echoed my choices. Chatterbait, squarebill, and a jig.

Thanks for the replies - the only thing I could look to add would be a soft plastic like a Black & Blue Flake Rage Tail Structure Bug (or similar) that moved a lot of water .

If there happened to be quite a bit of shallower water, with stumps, brush and cover I'd opt first for a colorado blade single spin over a chatter bait.  If the area had obvious ditches and channels, I'd probably be dragging a black & blue jig in those areas and it would probably have rattles on it.

Bass in "stained/off-colored" water rely on their lateral lines more than their sight.

With that thought in mind I'll throw lures that are noisy & give off vibration.

But where Catt?

The same places as before the runoff, the bass can not packup & move!
