Got out today for what will be my last trip this season.  The sun was shining bright keeping the air temps pleasant and the wind was blowing like it always seems to do here in the fall.   The past few days have been nice and I've been on the water for each.   Plenty of bass to keep it interesting and a mess of walleye for the freezer.  All on blade baits.

While fishing a 20 ft hump today, a brown submarine ate the bait right at the boat and the fight was on.  It was brief but very intense.  Between trying to keep her pinned and trying not to fall over the side, it was a pretty hectic 30 seconds. (I may have even used a little colorful language there . .sorry)

Weather will be turning more seasonal starting tomorrow but this bass was fun and a good one to put a wrap on the 2015 season.

:)

Sweet catches!

Was that one fish or two? The sudden

That is a great way to end the season. Last year I caught a PB 6.00 lb even the last day out. It was the only bite. This year, I didn't catch any hogs but i caught a lot more than my fishing buddy, so I have all winter until the ice freezes to remind him about how I spanked him last time out. Almost as good as catching a hog. Congrats on that fish,

LOL ~ I hear yea, but the weather didn't turn it's usual winter flavor nearly as fast as in the past.

Sadly the Old Town has been covered in the back of the garage & been put up for the season.

Nice work...I hope to get out this weekend, and maybe over Thanksgiving...that 45th parallel you mention in your location runs a couple miles south of the house...but i'll keep going until it ices up.

I'll fish in blaze orange this weekend and next...

We are looking at 3 inches of snow this weekend (Otsego County).

We may only be a couple degrees of latitude apart...but that darned lake is is in the way (if you mean MI).  I'm in NW WI, Chippewa County...and we just got ice in our backwaters and puddles for the first time today.

Tomorrow will be the first day with a high below freezing this year...it's been nuts...I had to cut the grass two weeks ago...
