MikeOGNR Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Hey guys coming down to Boca on the 17th last year I fished Florida with great success. If you look at my gallery you can see the fish we caught. Anyways gonna rent a john boat again out of holiday park again this year probably for a full 8 hour day. Was wondering if any of you guys have any tips on fishing the canals or where to go for my best chance at a hog? Any helps appreciated Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 4, 2015 Super User Posted November 4, 2015 Right now the water levels are high, which is very common this time of year. Fish can still be caught, probably not the same volume of fish, like during the spring when the water levels recede a bit. A whole variety of techniques can be used out there. I would focus around cover, for example if you find hyacinth. Punching, or flipping into it can yield a fish. Another technique that works for me pretty good, is frogging in the pads. But, like I said, there are several techniques you can apply out there. Best of luck to you. Quote
