Only thing that works for me is not pulling it over my nose. If it's over my nose it always fogs my sunglasses.

^^^  Pretty sure scuba divers use it to keep their goggles from fogging up.

There are de fogging agents that can be bought and a lot of home remedies, if you will. Toothpaste, baby shampoo, soap, etc. I've not heard of cat crap but that doesn't mean it doesn't work like a charm.

Whatever you use, make sure it's not going to destroy your glasses. Manufacturers use some coatings that are sensitive to a lot of chemicals and could be screwed by something abrasive as well. I don't know if you're wearing a $10 pair or a $300 pair. If it's the latter I would definitely consult the manufacturer. You're probably not going to prevent it 100% but you can probably lessen the fogging.

Biggest thing is to adjust where you're pushing as little hot humid air on to the glasses as possible.

This Sun Gaitor from Simms has a contoured shape & cut as well as a ventilated front.

These reduce but do not completely eliminate the fogging deal.

But it's the best I've tried for those extra heated trips.

Worked great in Mexico last June.

I was going to say this as well. Huk makes ventilated ones too.

Best advice I can give is to not cover up your nostrils or the side of the glasses where the lens/frame meets the arm. That doesn't give your breath an escape route except up into the lens.

Spit, Divers spit in their goggles to keep it from fogging up. I do this with my sunglasses on sunny days and it works. You spit on the lens and run it in.

I recently picked up buffs from a company called 12WT. The buff is comprised of 2 materials. The material that covers the face and nose region is made of mesh. Allowing air to flow more freely, reducing  fogging of Sunglasses and it allows you to speak easier as well.
