Its nearly here, Thanksgiving, Black Friday & sooner than we realize, Christmas..

So what's it going to be this year fellas? Swimbaits? A JDM reel? ( Shimano of course ) A new Rod? What's hot these days? Have you got a budget, or are you just going to fly by the seat of your pants?

I don't need much. The wants are long, but the kids come first. Maybe a couple MB baits or a few gift cards to DSG, BPS or Cabela's...

Couple XX rods and maybe a Levante Leviathan. New Legend Elite is also on the radar. I'm good on reels but the Antares might need a deep spool.

My family thinks I spend too much already so I don't usually get fishing presents. But I will be "presenting" (lol) myself with some tackle, probably on Black Friday since I'm a sucker for a good deal.

I want a new Shimano Calcutta Conquest 100HG really badly. Such a beautiful reel. Throw in a couple more Megabass Orochi XX rods and maybe another Stella and I'll be happy. :bushy-browed:

As a grown @$$ man, I don't need or want anything for Christmas other than my kids to enjoy the holiday. Christmas and Thanksgiving are  the one time of year I look forward to a family gathering as it brings back fond memories of my own childhood, and every year that my kids get to spend with my grandfather (their great grandfather) is special, because I don't know how many more he'll be around for.

Treasure that! I lost my Mom this year to a stroke...out of

nowhere. At least all my boys got to know her. I wish their

kids would have as well...

Treasure the time you have. Oh, and I pretty much agree

with your Xmas thoughts. I prefer to buy my "gifts" during

the year - be it fishing, tennis, or whatever.

I will probably just buy some tungsten weights, and maybe a new bank fishing bag

I'll be buying a couple of the *** Gen 2's and two Daiwa/ Shimano spinning reels. Plus I have to restock on baits, lures, and terminal tackle after a hard year on my gear.

Still looking at an Archangel and a Conquest 101HG to pair with it.

A X7 Super Eiger to match with my Zonda Hedgehog, and a GLX 841 cranking stick to pair with my Aldebaran BFS.

I also have a lonely Daiwa Z that I'd love to pair with a C40 Mephisto.
