I could buy another Super Duty but I like the size of the Tournament Pro reel so, What would you recommend changing inside the reel if anything at all?

If yes what parts would you replace? Where would you buy them?

are you talking about gearing ???

That and anything else to super duty the reels.

all you need to do is choose the right gearing for the lures you plan to use for the baits you throw . you can always get different gearing even though it's not offered for that particular reel , just buy it directly from Lew's and they will put in the gear set you want for an extra $20 ! that's what i'm gonna do for the BB2 pro , it only is offered in 7.1:1 gears for the left handed model but Lew's will put in 5.1:1 gears for me for the extra $20 . i imagine the Tournament pro will handle whatever you throw at it , plus it's lighter than the Super Duty by 1.6 ounces !!!

There's nothing glaringly inferior in that reel as compared to others based on the same platform. The biggest bang for the buck upgrade would probably be a Carbontex drag upgrade $8 +/-

Thanks Mike I appreciate. The drag washers have been upgraded.. I had that done a couple of months ago.

I've been completely happy with the TP reels, just figured if an upgrade would make them better I'd make the changes. Glad I don't need to change anything.

I'm fine with the gear ratio's.. I like the lighter reel too... Plus its more comfortable in hand than the Super Duty. So, we agree.
