I had a few minutes in the tackle room today. Before I purchased the new LEWS SPEED STICK RODS. I purchased some casting rods and put them away. I found,,,

LEWS SPEED STICK EX HVY, EXTRA FAST ACTION 7'2" casting.

ABU GARCIA VENGENCE 6'6" MH casting.

Berkley lightening strike 6'6" med.

What do ya think??

I have more hidden away. Time to sort things out.

I haven't been in the tackle room for a year..

I forgot, get distracted. Then buy more.

I know there not expensive but there 10x better then my older stuff. I noticed I had pistol grip rods in the stash too. The grandchildren will fish forever.

Any older graphite pistol grip stuff is gold to me. I can't seem to find good ones for use in a canoe anymore. I wince thinking about putting a hundred dollar rod in the canoe, but those cheap, older pistol grip rods are ideal. All I can say is you stumbled upon some good ones. What were they?

BP still offers them. My nephew loves them. He bought

two of them for use in his canoe.

I really did find an older pistol grip rod. Can't remember the exact name but it's a Berkley "Worm and Jig rod". It has a foam handle and was floating along the bank, missing 1 guide and the insert from the tip top. Fixed it up and used it as a spinnerbait rod in my kayak a few times before I found an old pistol grip Lew's Speed Stick that I liked better.

How much for the speedstik?

How much for the Berkley?

I doubt either is worth enough to be worth the shipping cost of a rod.

if Wayne passes, I'm nice and close. We could work something out on the Berkley.

I'm going to use them. I think I purchased them from TW probably over two years ago.

I find it odd that you bought $200 worth of stuff and "forgot" about it...

I put things aside when I found out I had cancer. Time stops when we hear the BIG C? But today medicine is unbelievable.

I'm doing ok now.

I think about life different now. Beating cancer is like catching a new world record LMB 10X over.

If any BR brother has cancer and you want to just talk im here. Been there done that seriously. It's not the end. Nothing will ever beat me down.

Found two more new casting rods. The R2S brand river 2 sea.

Both 6' casting rods one med/lt, one lt. Both are kind of whippy at the 1/3rd upper section good for casting lighter baits.

Anyone use R2S rods?

Bill, fishandsave has a lot of pistol grip sticks, but theyre two piece. I'll have to look closer to my local junk stores.
