Caught a couple citation yellow perches (and a few small bass) on the first try!

P.S. No fairy wand, no problem.

Nice Perch!  Been really getting into drop shotting this year and glad I did.  Great technique when the bite is tough.  Admittedly it can attract some smaller fish but I've caught some nice fatties on it as well.  It is really becoming a favorite technique of mine.

Those are some real nice perch for this region. Keep at it. I've caught just about every species of fish available in my water on a drop shot.

I've caught a few various species on it as well, two weekends ago was my first ds catfish.

The blue cats up here in DC love to eat just about anything on a drop shot; but they also love jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, topwaters, jigs and pretty much anything else I throw near them.

This was on the James, but on the Potomac I've caught then on just about everything especially jerkbaits and chatterbaits. This however was my first on a soft plastic.

Nice!  Those are some healthy looking, big, fat, perch.  Delicious...

Drop-shotting WORKS; especially this time of year.

Tight lines,

I released them lol.

I googled around a little, and apparently they seem to be at least 10 years old. Pretty awesome, I think.
