Heron Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 If you have any, what are your favorite chunk trailers for jigs, that retail for less $3? Thx. Quote
jonnyblazex Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Berkley Pit boss chunk, Net bait paca chunk, and the Zoom chunks have always worked great for me! 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 21, 2015 Super User Posted October 21, 2015 The chunk bait is a pork rind frog imitation, just use the real thing #11 or 101 UJ frog. Tom 1 Quote
blckshirt98 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 For under 3 bucks, Pit Boss and Paca Chunk can't be beat. Quote

Heron Posted October 21, 2015 Author Posted October 21, 2015 Ive been hearing lately that the pork frog quality has been really going down hill. But I have no experience with those baits so I cant speak about it. Quote

Super User bigbill Posted October 21, 2015 Super User Posted October 21, 2015 I used the Wal-Mart FLW Chunk trailers. The uncle Josh pork trailers I split them in the middle. I use the mister twister 4" split double tail grub trailer on my spinnerbaits. They work awesome. I haven't tried them on anything else. Optimum baits has a grub similar to the MT grub but it's a tad larger. I bought some but been thinking about trimming the body to fit a jig or Buzzbait. Sorry but I been switching from pork to plastics the white pork turns brown. Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 21, 2015 Super User Posted October 21, 2015 Aint gonna buy that for under 3 bucks You can find jars under $3 on sales and 1 pork forg will last several outings, 1 soft plastic chunk is gone quickly, sometimes before catching 1 bass!Tom 1 Quote

Tom Where?? I love fishing real pork but hate forking out the $6 for a jar of 4 baits like I have to a BPS here. Plus the color selection is terrible unless I want black and blue or brown. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 21, 2015 Global Moderator Posted October 21, 2015 They're $1 more than your target price but the Zman Batwingz outlast all other trailers for me and work great. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted October 21, 2015 Super User Posted October 21, 2015 The Netbait Paca Chunks are really hard to beat and I also like the Zoom salty chunk. Quote
Dypsis Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I use the Paca chunks but also love the Xcite Baits Raptor Tail Chunk. Matt Quote

Tom If I'm lucky to find Uncle Josh #11 they are green with white dots! I use Zoom Swimming Chunk during winter, 1 will last all winter; after you put a plastic chunk on stick a tooth pick above the hook & cut the ends. Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted October 21, 2015 Super User Posted October 21, 2015 Aint gonna buy that for under 3 bucks Outlet Bait and Tackle has them cheap every now and then. Quote
PourMyOwn Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The plastic chunk (shape of Uncle Josh pork frog) mold is $10, melt down a bunch of worms you don't like in a Pyrex and have at it. It's the easiest pour out there. Quote
