I want to get into using jigs and I was wondering what the best rod would be along with a Revo S? I would like to stay in  the $130 range for the rod, as well as what would be the best gear ratio for a reel for jigs?

Daiwa Tatula 721HFB. $99 on amazon. Read the TT review and pitch to your heart's content.

I have the flip rod and I can pitch jigs from 3/8-1oz no problem and the 7'2" has almost the same length on the business end because it has a shorter handle. It will absolutely launch a 1/2 oz frog.

If I take a shot it will be in the 7'6"

I cast, flip, & pitch jigs up 3/4 oz with one rod; Shimano Curical 6' 10" Med Heavy Xtra Fast.

Punching I go witha Heavy/Xtra Heavy Xtra Fast

I hunting a new punching rod right now!

I can vouch for a Lews Custom Speed Stick, look at the Magnum One, a Serious 7' rod...

I recomend a falcon bucoo heavy-fast.

But there are a lot of good rods at that price.

Everyone recommends *** blacks in 3.2.1

I second the Falcon Bucoo
