Buddy and I are going to hit it on Sunday in the yaks and I haven't been there in a couple of months and even that was at night.  Probably launch from the campground on Kellogg Creek.

Just curious if anybody had any info on the current activity?  Looking to tangle with some feisty little spots....

Thanks!

No, but I have not thought about Altoona in over 10 years since I moved out of Atlanta.

We used to go crappie fish on Altoona at night, buddy who was local guy had been putting old Christmas trees in spots for years. Whenever we went fishing we caught a boat load of crappie.  Sorry lost track of buddy and no idea of coordinates of spots.

It's a tough lake for me. I haven't done well there at all. Though I did hook a fat spot ~4lb and it spit my dropshot roboworm right at the kayak a couple few trips back.

I just wish there were some largemouth to target. I mean I don't think I've caught one in there yet. All smaller spots.

Got these tied on in anticipation:

3/16oz Jig head with curly grub

3/8oz Spinnerbait

1/16 head Wacky senko

Pop X popper

Naked rage blade with fluke Jr.

If you can't catch one on those.... My buddy would say "there's no fish in this pond"
