z7master167 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Im planning on going to erie or lsc this weekend, as of right now the weather and waves are favoring lake st.clair. ive never fished lsc, never even seen it. I know my fellow bass resource member will help out. I need to learn as much as i can as quick as i can. Any and all help will be appreciated Quote
DubyaDee Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I can't be much help with Erie, but I fish LSC more than any other lake. If you decide to fish LSC I'd recommend launching at the miles roads and fishing 8-11 feet of water. The miles roads and metro beach usually produce well in the fall with tubes. I will always have a perch jerkbait tied on, throwing Balog's goby swimbait is fun too. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Be safe, tight lines! Quote
Lucky Craft Man Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 To be honest, I have fished Lake Erie a lot more than I have been on Lake St. Clair, but if I were to tell someone who hasn't been to each and were going for the first time, I would choose Lake St. Clair. Lake Erie definitely yields bigger Smallmouth, but it is a huge place and it will take time to learn it, which someone coming up for a few days just doesn't get the luxury to do. I think the fish numbers in Lake St. Clair make it easier for someone looking for fish in a short period of time to locate and catch fish. 3 Quote

patred Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I have a guide/charter set for Sunday on Lake Erie. The weather looks OK (1-2 foot waves, low pressure system) although it might be cold. Kind of getting excited to catch something other than 8- to 10-inch Potomac River smallmouth. Pat 1 Quote
