dollarbill300 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Just finished putting together the first batch of jigs I have ever made. Melted the lead, powder painted and put the skirts together. Definitely made some mistakes along the way, which should improve with practice. Trying to come up with skirt color combo's is confusing. I am happy with the way they came out, since this is the first time and can't wait to catch something on one of them. Quote
topwater.va Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Good looking baits! I am thinking about getting some mold and starting to pour myself. save so money on jigs and spinnerbaits. Quote
ranger 361 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 dollarbill, where do you get your skirt stock from, i like the colors of the skirts.your jigs look great to me, should get you some big fish. thanks ranger361 Quote
dollarbill300 Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 Thanks for the responses. The skirts came from barlows tackle. It was a do-it jig skirt kit. I figured that would be good to start with. When I get better at making these and can zero in on what the fish want, then I will go out and buy specific colors. Quote
Jon86 Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Check out fishingskirts.com. They have a wide assortment of colors and such. Quote
