EricTheAngler Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 What kind of spinner bait to use for clear, shallowish water at 7 in the morning. Im going to a new spot and want a spinner, or buzzbait. Thanks -Eric Quote
Kbral87 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Try a white spinner with a willow blade. Im also a big advocate for using a trailer hook. Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted October 9, 2015 Super User Posted October 9, 2015 And if that doesn't work, try a chart/gold willow blade. Quote
EricTheAngler Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Thanks guys, where can i pick up a trailer hook? Is strike king a good brand? Quote
Kbral87 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Thanks guys, where can i pick up a trailer hook? Is strike king a good brand? The strike king red eye are some of me favorite ones, as far as the hooks go most tackle shops have the trailer hooks. They will come with a little piece of tubing or something to keep the hook from flying off. Quote
EricTheAngler Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Any other lures I should get for that environment. Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted October 9, 2015 Super User Posted October 9, 2015 Walmart probably has trailer hooks. I have some Eagle Claw Razor Sharp I've had for years. Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted October 9, 2015 Super User Posted October 9, 2015 I'd throw a war eagle spinner bait in "mouse" color. Double willow blade, 1 gold 1 silver. If it's shallow water "wake it". Quote
