Lews Tourney Mb Or Lews Lfs

Just wondering if it is worth the extra $40 for the MB over the LFS

if you can swing it , the Tournament Lite is a phenominal reel , shop around online and it can be had for around what a MB at MSRP costs . i got mine off Amazon for $143 , the reel is super light and even though it has a carbon frame and side plates , i have detected no flex in the reel . The ACB brake system is superb !!! with a full spool of 14 lb. Sniper , 95 mm carbon fiber handle & Revo eva large knobs , it weighs in at 6 ounces even .

I have and use an LFS, and I just bought an MB recently. I paid $111 for the MB on ebay; seems to be the best place to get them. Time will tell I guess but it seems like a super nice reel.

I concur. The lite is above the mb by a good amount in IMO.

However, between the 2, the mb is worth extra over the regular speed spool. Smoother, extra casting ranges, more power and smoother drag.

The lfs reels are the best $100 reels in the industry so it's safe to assume that the quality only gets better as you go up in lews lineup. I have 6 of them and 2 of the tourney mgs and they are all good.

Can't go wrong with any of them, just let your budget determine which one.

I have two LFS and 4 MBs. I'd say it is. The overall feel of quality is noticeable. The extra drag is nice. It is a bit smoother but if you only want to spend $100 you'd still be getting a heck of a reel. The improvements from last years speed spool to this years (LFS) is awesome.

I have both and they are both great reels imo you can't beat Lews. If you can afford the mb go for it if not you are still getting a awesome reel in the lfs.

as long as youre buying lews you wont be disappointed. ive owned three now and i love all of them i probably wont buy another brand untill one of them lets me down

I only have MB reels so I can't speak of Lew's other reels, but I love them so much I see no reason to ever buy anything else.

The MB hands down, and the lfs leaves a lot out for little diference, when the MB is easily available for $112.00 w/free shipping,,, I wouldn't think about the LSF unless you are saying you can have it new for less than 70 bucks! I'd still pick the MB if I could afford it!
