I have a bps pro qualifier and yesterday out of the blue the line guide got stuck in the corner so the all the line is distributed on one corned. IS this problem fixable or should I just take it back and get a new one.

Sounds like the pawl for the worm gear could be worn out. Yes, it's fixable. If you can exchange it that would be the easiest solution.

It's most likely just the pawl.  It's about a $4 part.  I think BPS has a parts dept that could probably help you.  They would probably return the reel too but that really isn't necessary.  Put a drop of oil on your worm gear every few trips and it shouldn't happen anymore.

Make sure the line gyide cap is tight. The pawl is located under the cap and if it isnt secure it wont line up or move in sync with the line guide....or your pawl is worn out.

You can shim the pawl with shim stock by taking the cap off and placing a small shim in it them replacing the cap. I have had to do this before in a pinch also used thin plastic to cut a shim out of. This works until you can replace the pawl. It just adds more pressure so the pale rides on the gear again. I know guys that never replace the parts they just shim and go.

Also, make sure your levelwind assembly is clean. I ordered the whole assembly... worm guide plus pawl to be certain. It was very affordable. However, once I adjusted the reel it was working again by the time the parts arrived. Now I have them sitting until I really need them.
