Brett's_daddy Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Anybody know when the end of season sales begin at tackle stores (both online and brick and mortar)? Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted October 8, 2015 Super User Posted October 8, 2015 "season" is not a universal term in the fishing sense.... we fish 365 in the dirty south, so no end to season really, just different patterns for different seasons. this brings me to another relevant point, which is that it would be mighty helpful if you put your location information into your profile for getting answers to questions such as this! NJSalt Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 When fishing season is over, for some people buying season begins. The decreased cost of fishing just increases the "buy stuff for fishing" pool. Boats are a different story.... 1 Quote
Super User webertime Posted October 8, 2015 Super User Posted October 8, 2015 At this point it's Black Friday, X-Mas, Presidents Day and some sort of Spring Classic sale before our season gets going in 2016. 1 Quote

Robeng Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 In the North, such as here in Michigan, sales begin towards beginning of fall. However, I see over the years many brick and mortar and online, start to "dump" in the February time frame as the new stuff is going to come in that was at the previous ICAST. This includes electronics and boats etc. I just keep my eyes peeled at online and the large brick stores. Especially the clearance or bargain bins. Quote
bootytrain Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The best thing to do is get on the mailing list for as many online shops as you can. They will bombard you with sales on a daily basis. I recently took advantage of a 50% off all lucky craft hardbaits sale that I wouldn't have known about but I got the email. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 8, 2015 Super User Posted October 8, 2015 Thanksgiving time. After Christmas time. During the fishing shows in February and March Wait for the sales after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted October 8, 2015 Super User Posted October 8, 2015 They make room for hunting and Christmas stuff watch Wal-Mart, dicks etc. Wal-Mart in February through March they dump older stock. If the economy is bad we will see sales. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 10, 2015 Global Moderator Posted October 10, 2015 If you have an Academy near by you might want to check them. I bought a bunch of Owner and Gamakatsu hooks for $1.48 a pack Wednesday. Quote
