Kye Abraham Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Hey guys, I understand how to paint jigs and know how to paint them a single color but am curious as how to add multiple colors or a mottled look? I'm aware of the Boss jig armor paint from fishingskirts.com and want to try it. Here are some examples of what I'm looking for I found on google images: Thanks and all help is appreciated. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 6, 2015 Global Moderator Posted October 6, 2015 For stuff like that jig you could use an airbrush with powder paint. Heat and dip in your main color, then hit it with the spray guy real quick on the side you want the addition paint. For the punch sinkers, the way I've done it is to use a paintbrush. You paint your main color, then dip a paintbrush in your powder and just shake or flick it over the top of what you're painting before it cools. 2 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted October 6, 2015 Super User Posted October 6, 2015 You can get that first effect by using the brush/tap method. Cadman is the master of that art. 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted October 6, 2015 Super User Posted October 6, 2015 Cadman is the master of the brush-tap method, I can't do it too well so I always used a Badger model 260 hobby sand blaster to spray the powder. You can blend colors but you can't get much detail. Quote
