OntarioFishingGuy Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I've been re-watching the series and was wondering which film you guys like the best. I'll start and go with episode 6, Return of the Jedi. Quote

Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 3, 2015 Super User Posted October 3, 2015 Probably Revenge of the Sith or the Empire Strikes Back. I remember when my dad took my to see revenge of the sith the day it was released I was mesmerized... Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Snowing already in Toronto, eh? Not yet, but it's sure not warm. Quote

Mike2841 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Empire Strikes Back. This should be the only answer 3 Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 I'll go with the original simply because it started the series. The plot really thickened with The Empire Strikes back ("Luke, I am your father"), but the first laid the foundation that the rest build on. From what I've seen, The Empire Strikes Back gets the critical acclaim as the best movie in the series. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 A New Hope laid the foundation, Empire had the best story, Return of the Jedi had the coolest battle (space) 1,2 and 3 didn't count.. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 I love all six of them. Its hard to choose between them. But I don't have very high hopes for the new ones that Disney is gonna squeeze out. Quote
Mike2841 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 JJ Abrams did a great job revamping Star Trek, I'm hoping he does the same with star wars Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 Why do people hate star wars episode 1, 2, 3... Honestly I think its because a lot of people hopped on the bandwagon. I love all the star wars movies and although I do think the phantom menace was the worst of the bunch its still a great movie. Really. 4 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 i am not a fan of 1,2 & 3 but to be honest i haven't watched them as often as the others. I think a lot of it has to do with your age when you watched them. I like return of the jedi myself. I may have to watch them again though, it's been a while Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 I could watch obiwan and anakins fight towards the end of revenge of the sith a million times and it wouldn't get old... Ewan McGregor's acting was fantastic! Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 I'm not sure but I CAN tell you which characters I liked LEAST. They were the ewoks and jar jar binks. And I hated the pod racing scene(s). They sold out to the kiddies. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 Empire Strikes Back is the only viable answer. Admin, please close this thread, as it's been answered. lol 1 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 Revenge of the Sith, and I CAN'T WAIT for the new one! 1 Quote
Western-Mass-Bass Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Empire, Hoth battle scene.......nuff said Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted October 5, 2015 Super User Posted October 5, 2015 The original. I was about 10 YO and on a family vacation in Cooperstown NY. It was raining too hard to play outside so my parents took us to see Star Wars. My 15 YO daughter loves the whole series. We occasionally watch at least one episode together, between work, swimming, dance, homework, work, etc.... Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted October 5, 2015 Super User Posted October 5, 2015 My favorite Star Wars film was "The Desolation of Smaug." Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted October 6, 2015 Super User Posted October 6, 2015 Long Mike, go home. You're drunk. Robert, you have really hurt my feelings. If you had any idea how sensitive I am, you would never say such hurtful things. Just because an old man like me might occasionally get confused between the Star Wars thing and the Hobbit thing does not necessarily mean that I have been drinking. BTW, please let me know the address where to send the invitation for you to kiss my hairy (keyboard malfunction) Quote
