The fishing this past September was pretty good. The water was as low as I had ever seen it. Summer seemed to hang on late into the month. At the beginning of the month the water temperature was 83 degrees and has already cooled of to 67 degrees. It certainly was a month of change. Big fish were caught on a variety of baits. Overall it was a great month. A lot of new spots learned due to the low water. My mom got a new personal best. My friend Brandon got a personal best. My buddy Shane got his biggest while fishing from my boat. Introduced a couple people to bass fishing.  Caught a few big fish along the way. Moving baits began working real well the last end of the month. That should continue. Onto October ! The year isn't over yet !

Those are some fine NE bass there. Yeah, September can be a continuation of summer here too. I don't have the fish sizes here you have though. Congrats. That's some good fishing.

What's the saying there's no big bass up north?

I say there is. In time were going to separate the real talented bass fisherman(people here) and the ones who don't have a clue how to fish for bass yet.(not the people on this site) I just don't believe how some people fish out there. They use saltwater sinkers scare everything. My point is were going to see even bigger bass caught up north. I do not see that many locals who are serious about bass fishing.

When the water is low take pictures of the body of water layout and structure. Log them in a book. Remember to refer to them. Hot spots mark them on your GPS under the name of the place. When the water is low make up your cheat sheets.
