Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 2, 2015 Author Super User Posted October 2, 2015 You took this photo from shore, right? Yes sir. The local weather buoy recorded 10.46' big wave with 7.5' significant wave. 6 second between dominate waves. Wind at 33.8 mph gusting to 45.4 mph. Quote
desmobob Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I sat home because of the wind today, too. It's supposed to lay down a little tomorrow, then be fairly calm Sunday. I hope so... I need to fish! :-) Tight lines, Bob Quote
Super User tomustang Posted October 2, 2015 Super User Posted October 2, 2015 I've heard rt188 owners go through that no problem 1 Quote

Super User tomustang Posted October 2, 2015 Super User Posted October 2, 2015 That photo is what bothers me on taking a small trip to erie, my local weather saysthere's showers in the vicinity although it's been pouring all day. I couldnt drive though that, if I tried my wife would kill me Quote
Super User slonezp Posted October 3, 2015 Super User Posted October 3, 2015 That's what the southwest end of Lake Michigan has looked like the last couple days. Going to take a few days for the mud to settle Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted October 3, 2015 Super User Posted October 3, 2015 ...unless you're a surfer Quote

Liteline Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Had a charter set-up for last Wed. the 30th on Erie but cancelled, Charter Capt. called tues. and warned us of 30 to 40 mph winds. It was a real buzzkill but..."Live to fish another day" and it saved us a 2 1/2 hr. drive Quote
PitchinJigz Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Any day out is a good day! Unless you go over because the waves are too big... Sometimes you just need to stay home on big water like this. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted October 6, 2015 Super User Posted October 6, 2015 The wind is your friend, right? It looks like a spinnerbait day. LOL 2 Quote
hatrix Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The wind is your friend, right? It looks like a spinnerbait day. LOL When it's like that it's not unless you want to have a rough time and maybe end up in the drink. Any time it's white capping like that is dangerous. If weather calls for 3-5' waves like it does often then stay home. Quote

Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 31, 2015 Author Super User Posted October 31, 2015 Is that a strong northwest? NE wind Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted November 8, 2015 Super User Posted November 8, 2015 Maybe you could charter a boat from the Coast Guard. Quote
