I am going to be purchasing a JDP rod in the very near future and was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how much shipping will be if sent by EMS? It seems that shipping charges for EMS are calculated by just using weight. The rod will be a 2 piece if that helps. Any ideas?

It's tough enough buying sight unseen rods here at

home... lol

I would never consider doing so outside our borders.

Thanks for that info.... The tip action is critical to me. The rod is due to arrive on Tuesday. If I like it I'm going to buy a 904 too.

I'll post pics.

You're playing in the big money league with a Megabass rod....

That's the thing about buying JDM from Japan... once you buy one.. you have to buy more..

Im looking into getting a JDM rod and was wondering where a good place to buy one is. I figured that buying them directly may be very expensive because of shipping costs and wanted to know if there were any places in the US that sold JDM rods for a reasonable price.

Just something to think about. Megabass rods only carry a warranty to the original buyer. It also has to be purchased from an authorized MB dealer to be covered under warranty.

Also, any idea what I'm looking at as far as customs?

I have not paid any customs fees yet and both of the rods that I bought are one piece.
