FinCulture Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I ordered a St. Croix spinning rod over their website last week. I'm super stoked that it finally came in today. It's a 6' 10" medium xtra fast Rage rod. This is my second Rage. I needed a good rod for finesse applications and some other stuff. I love my other Rage, a 6' 8" casting rod, and St. Croix's selling them of for $89 a piece. I had to snag it up because it's such a great rod at such a good price. So I'm very glad the rod came. I also got a free hat, which was a plus. I can't wait to try this baby out. WOOHOO!!!! 6 Quote
Evan K Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Congrats! I like all my St. Croix rods pretty well too. Only one I'm a little doubtful is my UL Premier. The thing is a wet noodle. I guess for UL you need that extra flex so you don't break the rod when casting or fighting fish, and you can probably sling lures further, but it takes some getting used to after all my fast action M/MH bass rods. WPCfishing Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 2 for $100???? Where? Call the St Croix "Retail Store". Ask for John or talk to one of the sales guys. Rage Rods are two for $100.00 Quote

WPCfishing Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Do you have to go to the store to get them or do they ship? They will ship two or more together. You only pay for one tube to be shipped. I think it's a flat $19.00 shipping fee. They have last years SCII Mojo's for $80.00, maybe less each for two or more. Quote

I'll have to remember it when I'm shopping for rods again though. Quote

georgeyew Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Hey WPC, Thanks for the info. I just ordered 2 Rage rods from the store for $119 shipped. I think that the number of rods are getting low. They had to go to the back to verify whether they had the models that I wanted in stock. Also, I asked about the Mojo's and they are the same price as the site....not additional discounts. Quote
monkeyman3dee Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I have the rage 6'8'' MH casting rod, really enjoy it. And I was surprised the rage hat fit me, most hats dont fit, especially the one size fits all size. Thinking of getting a spinning too as well while they are still in stock!! Let me know how it fishes! -Joshua Quote

I've never used micro guides before. Is it your sense that the connection knot (modified albereto) will come through ok? Thanks. Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted November 2, 2015 Super User Posted November 2, 2015 Congrats Wanting to get one myself. Quote
blckshirt98 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Dang, I wonder if that 2 for $100 is still valid if you call the retail store...crazy deal there. Quote

You shouldn't have any trouble. Quote
