Super User Jar11591 Posted October 4, 2015 Super User Posted October 4, 2015 Yep! Had it happen to me for the first time this year. Got these guys on a Storm Chugbug. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted October 5, 2015 Super User Posted October 5, 2015 I've done it twice on a square bill. Almost a 3rd time the weekend before last. Had a smallie try to take it away from another right by the boat. Unfortunately the one I had on had one hook in the mouth and one was tucked up under it's gill plate otherwise I would have got the second one too. Quote

jignfule Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 On the other hand, have you and a buddy ever caught the same fish at the same time? Reel in your line and you have the same fish. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 6, 2015 Global Moderator Posted October 6, 2015 Had about 8 pounds of smallmouth on the same bait for a few seconds last Friday before the bigger fish pulled off (of course). The smaller fish hit my swimbait first before the bigger fish tried to steal it and got itself hooked just long enough to make me think I might get them both. 1 Quote

Super User geo g Posted October 6, 2015 Super User Posted October 6, 2015 When the fish are schooling they will get into a feeding frenzy at times. They will fight each other for the food source and sometimes hook themselves on a long lure with multiple hooks. The long #11 rapala stickbaits with three treble hooks makes multiple hookups easy for bass in a feeding frenzy mood. This is a cruising wolf pack of medium size bass crashing bait fish. 1 Quote
Smokinal Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 image.jpg Two guys, two drop shots, two kayaks, one bass. And he even tied a knot in the line with his tongue...talented bass right there. 1 Quote
